Endometrial Ablation

Two Days Prior to Procedure:

• Starting two days prior to procedure take Motrin 800 mg (one pill) by mouth every 8 hours.
• No intercourse for two days prior to procedure.

Day of Procedure:

• You MUST have someone drive you to and from the office.
• Eat a light meal and drink plenty of fluids.
• Arrive at our office one hour prior to procedure time.
• Bring your filled prescriptions with you to the procedure.
• You are welcome to bring an iPad/iPhone or other portable device for your listening pleasure during the procedure.

When you arrive at the office on the day of your procedure:

• Check in with the receptionist.
• You will need to empty your bladder and provide a urine sample.
• You will be medicated 30 minutes prior to your procedure.
• You will be observed up to 30 minutes after your procedure.
• You will need to empty your bladder prior to leaving the office.
